Bringing the Vision to Life
This mural started with a simple idea—celebrating culture through bold visuals. After brainstorming concepts, we landed on a balance between timeless and vibrant, keeping Frida Kahlo and María Félix in black and white while surrounding them with a background full of color and life.
The sunflowers were a special choice—not only our friend's favorite flower but also deeply personal for me, as they represent Ukraine, my heritage, and resilience. The bright teal backdrop added even more contrast, making the figures stand out while keeping the energy of the piece alive.
The process itself was a mix of freehand painting and careful detailing. We layered in depth, refined expressions, and made sure every element felt cohesive. Seeing it all come together was incredibly rewarding—this mural is more than just art; it’s a blend of stories, traditions, and creativity in its purest form.

the process
While mural art isn’t something we currently offer to the public, this project was a special one. This is our first and only official mural beyond personal use and paint on canvas—a unique collaboration that brought together culture, heritage, and artistic expression. It was a passion project, created with intention, that created a conversation piece for our friends' home.
