PROJECT OVERVIEW:
Kushstock is one of the largest cannabis events in California, attracting over 20,000 attendees annually and more than 100,000 attendees across its history. The festival brings together the top brands in California’s legal cannabis market and has featured iconic headliners such as E40, Juicy J, Bone Thugs N Harmony, Too Short, The Pharcyde, Souls of Mischief, and Immortal Technique. With a dynamic fusion of music, culture, and cannabis industry leaders, Kushstock has become a staple event in California’s festival scene.
As the lead designer, I developed a cohesive visual identity across event stages, merchandise, and marketing materials. This includes creating the original Kushstock Festival logo, which has become the festival’s most recognizable visual asset. My designs—ranging from stage banners and VIP passes to event merchandise and sponsor branding—were prominently displayed throughout the festival grounds, contributing to brand recognition for both Kushstock and its sponsors.
The event also attracts major cannabis industry players such as Cookies (a global cannabis brand known for its premium products), Jungle Boys (renowned for elite cultivation techniques), Stiiizy (a leader in vape technology and cannabis products), 710 Labs (specializing in high-quality concentrates and flowers), and Raw Rolling Papers (an iconic brand in smoking accessories).
Kushstock’s cultural impact and growth have been recognized in major media outlets, including Daily Mail, TMZ, Yahoo, New York Post, LADbible, and LA Weekly. Notably, the logo I designed is prominently featured in LA Weekly’s article titled “Kushstock Wins The Race to Reopen Major Cannabis Events,” which highlights the festival’s role as a leading cannabis event in California. This media recognition reflects the influence of my creative contributions, with the branding I developed serving as the visual identity associated with Kushstock’s success and public image.

MY ROLE
As the original branding creator for Kushstock Festival, I developed the foundational visual identity that has evolved with the event’s growth. My work extends beyond the initial branding to encompass comprehensive event design, including:
Original Branding: Conceptualized and designed the festival’s logo and brand identity, establishing a recognizable visual language that’s become synonymous with Kushstock’s image.
Main Stage Banners: Designed large-scale banners that served as the festival’s visual centerpiece during performances by high-profile artists.
VIP Passes: Crafted unique, holographic VIP passes, adding an exclusive, premium feel for attendees.
Sponsor Branding: Developed custom designs for licensed cannabis retailers, including bottle labels, can wraps, and event merchandise.
Event Materials: Created business cards, promotional flyers, and digital assets to support event marketing.
